This role leads frontline production teams, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement across processes, people, and performance while reinforcing a culture of accountability and operational excellence.\n\nRole Responsibilities\nProduction Operations\nSupervise daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.\nMonitor workflow, staffing, and equipment utilization to optimize efficiency.\nCoordinate with scheduling and planning teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.\nTroubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions in real time.\nUtilize and understand the company's OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) system to track performance, identify losses, and report on key production metrics.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nLead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve performance standards.\nAssign tasks and ensure proper training across all production roles.\nOwn employee development through structured training, including cross-training to build a flexible and capable workforce.\nProactively assess and manage staffing needs to ensure appropriate coverage and skill alignment across production areas.\nDrive accountability for performance by helping operators understand KPIs and how their individual contributions impact overall production success.\nFoster a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.\nQuality & Compliance\nEnsure all products meet company quality standards and specifications.\nEnforce adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and OJT (On-the-Job Training) standards.\nPartner with the Quality and Innovation team to resolve defects and implement preventive measures.\nDrive continuous reduction of scrap and rework through process discipline and improvement initiatives.\nMaintain accurate production and quality records.\nSafety\nPromote and actively model a strong safety-first culture across the production floor.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.\nLead regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.\nEncourage employee engagement in safety by identifying hazards, reporting near-misses, and participating in corrective actions.\nHold team members accountable for safe behaviors while recognizing and reinforcing positive safety practices.\nProactively identify and eliminate risks to create a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase throughput.\nSupport Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, etc.).\nUse data (including OEE and other KPIs) to drive decision-making and performance improvements.\nTrack and improve key metrics such as efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization.\nCommunication & Coordination\nAct as a liaison between production, Quality and Innovation, and leadership.\nProvide regular updates on production status, challenges, and performance metrics.\nCommunicate expectations clearly and ensure alignment across shifts and teams.\nParticipate in production planning and scheduling meetings.\nMission, Values & Customer Focus\nUnderstand and support FALK Panel's Mission and Values, and reinforce them daily on the production floor and across all shifts.\nChampion a quality- and craftsmanship-first mindset that reflects FALK Panel's reputation as an industry expert — not only in manufacturing insulated metal and values, not a separate initiative.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.\n1–3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.\nStrong understanding of production processes and workflow management.\nPreferred\nExperience in panel systems, construction materials, or similar manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing principles.\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.\nSkills & Competencies\nLeadership and team development.\nProblem-solving and decision-making.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nEffective communication (verbal and written).\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nData-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and act on production metrics (including OEE).\nBasic computer skills (ERP/MRP systems, reporting tools).\nWork Environment\nManufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature variations, and moving equipment.\nRegular interaction with production areas, maintenance shops, and outdoor conditions as needed.\nRequires coordination with multiple departments and occasional work with external contractors.\nMay require availability across multiple shifts and occasional off-hours support.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.\nAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally (with assistance as needed).\nAbility to work at heights and in confined spaces.\nAbility to use hands and tools to perform maintenance and repair tasks.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving
