Engineers contribute across the full software development lifecycle and may work on front-end, application-tier, and/or interface layers. Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include leading projects, mentoring peers, and contributing to architectural decisions.\n\nTIME ALLOCATION\nSoftware Design & Development: 40–60%\nTesting & Debugging: 15–25%\nDocumentation & Code Reviews: 10–15%\nCollaboration & Communication: 10–20%\nMentoring or Project Leadership (as applicable): 0–15%\n\nEXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)\nExecute the software development process from design through testing and deployment.\nDesign, develop, and maintain business logic, user interfaces, database interactions, and integrations.\nParticipate in or lead design sessions, code reviews, and testing activities.\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation, including release notes and test plans.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.\nResolve defects and ensure code quality through unit and regression testing.\nMentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing (for senior levels).\nLead or manage small to mid-size projects, including planning, delegation, and delivery (for advanced levels).\nTravel may be required for onsite customer development or support.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required.\nExperience requirements vary by level:\nEntry-level: 0–2 years of experience.\nMid-level: 3–5 years of experience.\nSenior-level: 6–8+ years of experience with leadership responsibilities.\nExperience in full lifecycle development of enterprise software solutions.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE\nProficiency in development tools and languages such as Visual Studio, C/C++, C#, .NET/.NET Core, Java, HTML/JavaScript, React.\nStrong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.\nExperience with relational databases (SQL Server, ORM technologies).\nFamiliarity with structured SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).\nAbility to read and interpret technical documentation and specifications.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nFor senior levels: experience mentoring, leading projects, and driving DevOps practices.\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cloud-native development.\nFamiliarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and system monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic).\nExposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD).\nExperience presenting technical solutions and collaborating across departments.\nExperience responding to RFIs/RFPs and contributing to customer-facing documentation.\n\nATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION\nThe position is based in our Richardson, TX office.
