Systems ensure units meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. This position requires expertise in aerospace engineering principles. The position is crucial to program success from initial proposal through end-of-life operations.\n\nResponsibilities & Duties\n\nPerform job duties as assigned under the general direction of the Systems Engineering Manager with minimal supervisory direction.\n\nDevelop and deliver Systems Engineering data deliverables to customers.\n\nEnsure units meet requirements by Pre-Ship Review with evidence in End Item Data Package.\n\nDeliver requirement and verification compliance matrix with signed verification evidence, approved deviation and approved waivers by final unit delivery.\n\nCommunicate project status, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders through Jira, regular reports and presentations.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in developing deliverables with SharePoint and product lifecycle management system. Produce interface control documents for mechanical (SolidWorks), electrical and embedded firmware.\n\nPerform performance, reliability and safety analyses. The analyses include radiation.\n\nMaintain technical resource budgets (mass, power, memory, alignment)\n\nUse and build custom Python tools.\n\nWrite test plans for functional, performance and environmental testing.\n\nEngage with Test organization to confirm requirements in test procedure, observe test as assigned, and resolve issues found during unit testing.\n\nAuthor operations / user manual.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\n\nMust be eligible to work in the United States\n\nKnowledge with Systems Engineering team as demonstrated by managing requirements, developing interfaces, performing analyses and/or managing technical budgets.\n\nExperience in requirements management, V&V, decomposition and traceability\n\nExperience with test planning and execution\n\nFamiliarity with ICDs, technical budgeting, and system margins\n\nFamiliarity of SharePoint.\n\nFamiliarity with SolidWorks.\n\nFamiliarity with Python.\n\nMust be eligible to work in the United States\n\nLocation: Littleton, CO\n\nWork five-days a week on Monday-Friday with weekend work as needed.\n\nWork at computer at office desk and in production environments for testing.\n\nDesired Qualifications and Skills\n\nMaster’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline).\n\nExperience with Electric Propulsion in industry, Hall Effect Thruster preferred.\n\nExperience with requirement management.\n\nExperience with Omere radiation analysis tool.\n\nExperience with reliability and failure modes analyses.\n\nExperience with designing and analyzing for the space environment.\n\nExperience with Hall Effect Thruster Design, Analysis & Test.\n\nExperience testing electric propulsion thrusters, low thrust measurements, and/or plasma diagnostics.\n\nExperience in Agile frameworks\n\nDemonstrated excellent communication skills through public media, writing and work product examples.\n\nExperience\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in space industry or equivalent experience (M.S. Degree considered to be 2 years).\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline).\n\nExport Control / Compliance Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nCompetitive salary range: $125,000–$155,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)\nExoTerra offers a comprehensive total compensation package, including competitive salary, a discretionary annual bonus plan, paid time off (PTO), a comprehensive health benefits package, and various other benefits.
