With offices in DFW, Austin, and Montana, CEC Facilities Group is one of Texas' premier specialty contractors, and we are growing at a rapid pace.\n\nPosition Summary\nThis position supports the execution of construction projects by assisting project managers in overseeing planning, financial tracking, subcontractor management, and quality control efforts to meet business, client, and operational objectives.\n\nEssential Duties And Responsibilities\n\nCollaborates with preconstruction teams to support project estimating, cost control, and schedule development.\n\nReviews and coordinates scopes of work, ensuring alignment with drawings, specifications, and project objectives.\n\nPrepares and reviews submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.\n\nCompiles and analyzes pay applications, change requests, and other financial documents related to project progress.\n\nParticipates in subcontractor bidding, evaluations, and award recommendations, including the preparation of proposals.\n\nAssists in contract administration, including monitoring deliverables and compliance with contract terms.\n\nOversees time tracking and reporting in coordination with field supervision and administrative staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policy.\n\nCommunicates and coordinates with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to support project alignment and timely decision-making.\n\nOrganizes and facilitates project meetings to address coordination, material needs, and labor concerns.\n\nDrafts correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.\n\nMaintains and updates resource data including vendor contacts, material specifications, and regulatory requirements.\n\nAssists with or coordinates material procurement and delivery to ensure field teams have the resources needed.\n\nPerforms other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.\n\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; high school diploma or GED required.\n\nMinimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical or general construction project coordination or management.\n\nPrior electrical estimating experience is a plus.\n\nJourneyman Electrician’s License is a plus.\n\nStrong computer literacy and comfort working with project management and estimating tools.\n\nRequired Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities\n\nStrong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.\n\nExcellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, Accubid, and scheduling software.\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction documents, technical specifications, and schematics.\n\nProficient in construction takeoffs and basic estimating.\n\nWorking knowledge of electrical construction materials and practices.\n\nHigh attention to detail with the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.\n\nDemonstrated leadership capability and a commitment to a safety‑first culture.\n\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record.\n\nWork Environment\n*The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
