Logistics Assistant – Job Description Se h abla Espanol Location: Miami, FL Department: Logistics / Supply Chain Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to support inbound and outbound supply chain operations within a consumer goods environment. This role plays a key part in coordinating imports, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring shipments move efficiently and compliantly from origin to final destination. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple shipments simultaneously and understands the logistics requirements of large retail customers. Key ResponsibilitiesInbound Logistics (Imports) Assist with end-to-end import coordination, including preparation and review of shipping and customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs entries, arrival notices, etc.). Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, ports, and warehouses to support timely clearance and delivery. Track inbound containers and shipments from origin through final delivery. Monitor ETAs, port activity, demurrage, and detention; proactively identify and communicate potential delays or issues. Maintain well-organized and accurate digital records for all inbound shipments. Outbound Logistics Support outbound shipment coordination to retail customers, distributors, and third-party logistics providers. Assist with scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers and warehouse partners. Help ensure outbound shipments comply with customer routing guides and logistics requirements. Track outbound shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and external partners. General Logistics & Administrative Support Maintain accurate shipment, inventory, and logistics data within ERP and tracking systems. Reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, shipping documents, and received goods. Assist with freight invoicing, claims, chargebacks, and issue resolution. Provide general administrative and organizational support to logistics and operations teams as needed. QualificationsRequired 2–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import coordination. Working knowledge of U.S. import processes and standard shipping documentation. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or logistics management systems. Preferred Experience supporting shipments for large retail customers. Background in food & beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or similar industries. Familiarity with retailer routing guides, OTIF metrics, and compliance standards. Experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers. Understanding of Incoterms and international shipping workflows. Spanish language skills are a plus.
