As a Hardware Engineer in Research and Development, you'll specify, design, and test these devices and support them over the long lifetime of SEL products in the same place where those products are manufactured.\nAs an Associate Hardware Engineer a typical day might include the following:\nAnalyzes, designs, and develops conventional analog and digital circuits. Conducts moderate to complex design reviews to demonstrate product and circuit robustness.\nDevelops hardware specifications and prepares system level specifications.\nWrites and analyzes test plans, executes tests and evaluates test results for use at peer design reviews and project notebooks.\nPrepares and maintains product documentation, including data sheets, instruction manuals, project notebooks, design and test documentation.\nProvides and maintains accurate project plans. Manages and/or leads hardware projects of moderate complexity. Coordinates engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing.\nCoordinates with mechanical, process, manufacturing, RTL, firmware product engineers as needed to verify appropriate system performance and ongoing quality.\nWorks with Manufacturing and Purchasing, and PCB fabrication partners to procure new component samples and validate components through the manufacturing process.\nThis job might be for you if:\nYou have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTypically 0-2+ years of experience in a selection of these or related areas:\n- Digital and/or Analog Circuit Design\n- Signal integrity\n- SGMII, USB 3.0, PCIE, DisplayPort, LVDS\n- Point of Load Supplies\n- Analog Inputs, Analog Outputs, Digital Inputs, Digital Outputs\n- Electromagnetic Compatibility\n- Components and Packaging\n- Component derating\n- Thermal management\n- PCB planning\n- Embedded Systems Design\nLocation\nPullman, WA- SEL’s corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life.
