The successful individual in this role will actively participate in all aspects of the testing of digital hardware for Silvus’ StreamCaster MANET product line.\n\nThis position is 100% onsite , Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles .\n\nThe following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.\n\nRole And Responsibilities\n\nUsing electronics test equipment to evaluate system performance, evaluate compliance compatibility and troubleshoot operation issues.\nCarry out hardware test execution and generate status and test reports.\nDefine verification matrix and internal specifications of performance.\nReview test result data to ensure that actual performance meets expected requirements.\nReview and recommend improvements to existing test strategies.\nRecommend new test techniques and technologies to ensure system performance.\nDesign test fixtures and calibrate test equipment.\nUnderstand proper use and handling of sensitive circuits and equipment.\nTravel Requirement - Rare local travel, as required by Silvus (i.e. Irvine office).\nPerform other related duties, of which the above are representative.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.\nMinimum 2 years of relevant hardware test experience.\nHands-on experience using test equipment such as bench top power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, thermal chambers.\nExperience with digital interfaces such as RS-232, USB 2.0, 1000BASE-T Ethernet.\nExperience validating power supply sequencing, efficiency, and ripple for DC/DC converters, LDOs and PMICs.\nMust be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen) due to U.S. government contracts.\nEmployment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.\n\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities\n\nTest automation using Python or LabView.\nKnowledge of guidelines for PCB layout.\nAudio testing and characterization experience.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear summary of test status and any issues to broader team.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and work on several projects concurrently.\nDetail oriented and have a firm commitment to quality.\nAbility to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.\nProblem-solving, data analysis, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking skills.\n\nWorking Conditions And Physical Requirements\n\nOffice environment.\nOccasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:\n- Lift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.\n- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.\n- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.\n- Walking/Moving in the labs\n\n#silvuscareers\n\nCOMPENSATION: $75,000 - 105,000/ annually\n\nNOTE - As a US Federal Contractor, Silvus Technologies requires that ALL candidates being considered for employment for any position (regardless of level) MUST be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen).
