Senior PHP Developer -Pimcore
The Senior PHP Developer role supports the growth and stability of the applications by designing, building, and enhancing scalable backend capabilities and data models that ensure high data quality and operational reliability. This position contributes to the effectiveness of enterprise data workflows by applying strong engineering principles, architectural thinking, and disciplined delivery practices. The Senior PHP Developer partners with different teams to translate complex business and data requirements into durable solutions, while driving continuous improvement in platform performance, maintainability, and extensibility. Essential Functions Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data models for a Pimcore-based MDM platformBuild and optimize PHP applications focusing on performance, scalability, and data integrityDesign and implement APIs (REST/JSON) to support downstream systems and automation workflowsWork with complex data structures, relationships, and lifecycle managementContribute to platform architecture, technical design, and code standardsReview code, mentor team members, and enforce best practicesCollaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsTroubleshoot production issues and participate in platform optimization and enhancementsStay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PHP developmentBachelor's degree in computer scienceAdvanced proficiency in PHP and frameworks such as Laravel or SymfonyExperience with Pimcore or similar platformsStrong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB)Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)RESTful API design and developmentFamiliarity with Kafka, OpenSearch, and Graph DatabasesKnowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps workflows is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPerformance tuning and solution architectureSolid understanding of web security best practicesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication and collaboration skillsLeadership and mentoring capabilities
