Junior Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Develop, build, and maintain scalable back-end solutions in a multi-product microservice architecture.• Implement, test, and support web services and APIs utilizing standard frameworks and source control tools.• Write unit and functional tests, and provide testing guidance for Quality Assurance.• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver backend services.• Work with modern backend technologies, development tools, and frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Typescript.• Utilize relational databases (MySQL, Postgres) and document databases (Redis).What You'll Need• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent foundational experience.• Experience with AWS, API integration, modern DevOps practices, and cloud-based architecture.• Proficiency with Git and developing/maintaining web applications.• Experience designing and implementing relational databases.• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.• A product-centric development mindset with a high level of ownership.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary of $80,000 - $90,000.• Comprehensive health and welfare benefits package for full-time positions.• Opportunity to work with modern technologies and cloud platforms.• Potential for annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan.Apply via Haystack today!
