Working closely with the VP of Finance & Operations and our outside accounting partners, you will lead the monthly close process, financial reporting, internal controls, forecasting, and financial analysis, lender compliance, audit readiness, tax and valuation support, and the financial narratives that leadership and employee-owners rely on. A strong Controller will independently own the company's accounting integrity, make sound judgment calls with limited oversight, and build the finance function needed for the company's next stage of growth. As part of an employee-owned firm founded to advance the global transition to renewable energy, this role has the opportunity to make an impact both internally and by moving our communities closer to a brighter, cleaner future.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nAccounting Oversight + Financial Operations\nReview the monthly close prepared by our outside accounting firm, including accruals, estimates, and support schedules; ensure issues are resolved before reporting.\nVerify that accounting outputs reconcile to the budget, covenant calculations, and valuation model.\nExercise independent judgment on accruals, estimates, and accounting positions, and defend that judgment with outside advisors.\nStep into lender, valuation, tax, and audit conversations as a prepared and credible backup to the VP of Finance & Operations.\nEnsure compliance with GAAP, company policies, lender requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.\nPrepare quarterly lender compliance packages, including covenant calculations, compliance certificates, agings, supporting schedules, and drafts of the management narrative.\nPrepare the annual valuation package for the company's independent valuation firm, including financial data, projection support, and diligence responses.\nDesign, maintain, and improve internal controls over financial reporting and key business processes.\nDrive continuous improvement of accounting and financial systems, reporting automation, and internal controls.\nOwn the corporate tax calendar and prepare supporting schedules, data, and draft reviews for the provision and returns prepared by outside tax advisors, including multi-state and international dimensions.\nServe as the primary point of contact for the annual financial statement audit and employee benefit plan audits (401(k) and ESOP), running the PBC process and audit calendar end to end and bringing judgment calls to the VP of Finance & Operations.\nPlanning, Analysis + Communications\nRun the annual budget and quarterly reforecast, coordinating schedule production with the outside accounting firm and owning the analysis and narrative.\nMaintain the rolling 12-month forecast, including revenue, labor costs, and cash flow.\nMonitor cash position, liquidity, and working capital needs while supporting banking and treasury relationships.\nDevelop portfolio projections, including backlog conversion and pipeline-weighted revenue.\nDevelop driver-based forecasting and scenario analysis to support leadership decisions on hiring, pricing, and growth.\nPartner with operational leaders to develop actionable performance metrics and improve business decision-making.\nProduce the monthly financial reporting package for the leadership team.\nDevelop and deliver regular financial communications to leadership and to all staff, translating financial results and structure for an audience of employee-owners.\nBuild and maintain the company's key metrics framework, including definitions, data sources, and tracking cadence.\nConduct periodic audits of the operational data (project accounting, time and billing systems) that feeds close, billing, and reporting, and drive corrections at the source.\nQuality + Collaboration\nParticipate in leadership and project meetings and communicate financial work clearly to internal and external stakeholders.\nCoordinate with outside accountants, tax advisors, auditors, valuation professionals, and lenders.\nCollaborate with billing operations, project management, and department leaders to deliver accurate and complete financial work.\nContribute to a team culture rooted in accountability, curiosity, quality, and shared commitment to Revamp's clean energy mission and values of Impact, Collaboration, Trust, and Equity.\nMentor finance staff by answering technical questions, reviewing work, and modeling strong practices.\nLead the continued development of the finance function by strengthening processes, enhancing systems, and expanding internal capabilities.\nAdditional Duties\nPerform essential duties, including meeting deliverables and deadlines.\nPerform additional duties as assigned or directed.\nExperience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.\nActive CPA required;
