Patient Registration Representative - Bilingual Required
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY: Responsible for independently performing a wide range of complex and confidential front desk tasks to support the patient encounter. BILINGUAL REQUIREDPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1) Responsible for registering patients and scheduling patient visitsa) Provide appointments to patients using scheduling guidelinesb) Make pre-appointment calls.c) Accurately and legibly fill out all required forms; verify patient information (demographics, insurance, sliding fee) and update computer information at each patient visit.2) Process patient paymentsa) Collect and post payments on patient accounts into EPMb) Reconcile and close daily batch at end of business day3) Performance of administrative dutiesa) Answers phone calls and handles incoming and outgoing faxesb) Obtains release of information requestsc) Assist patients with information requests4) Attendancea) Ensures attendance and hours worked are accurately recorded in computerized timekeeping systemb) Properly manages PTO hoursc) Responsible for regular, predictable attendance and to work hours as scheduled, which may include evenings or weekendsGENERAL DEVELOPMENT1. Duties require the compilation of informationPROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGEPossesses a basic level of written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program. Bilingual English/Spanish communication, written and verbal required.TECHNICAL SKILLS1. Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports using computer.2. Ability to create, send and manage email.3. Ability to use a multi-line phone system4. Ability to access web-based applications and other computer programs.5. Fully functional in use of the EPM program
