This crucial role will be steering our clients toward success in the competitive government contracting sector!ResponsibilitiesClient Accounting Tasks:Cultivate and enhance the role of Controller function for our esteemed client baseProvide integral support for Internal Controls ManagementCollaborate on Direct and Indirect Cost BudgetsMonitor Indirect Rates, facilitating adjustments and Intercompany Allocations as necessaryContribute to Forward and Proposal Pricing endeavors as requiredConduct thorough Financial Reviews Conduct periodic management consultation meetingsFacilitate and oversee Audit Readiness initiativesDevelop, implement, and enforce comprehensive Internal and External Accounting Policies and ProceduresEnsure strict compliance with FAR, DCAA, GAAP, and CAS regulationsAssist Budgeting, Forecasting, Benchmarking, and Cash Reporting and Management effortsAssist with Incurred Cost Submission preparationReview month-end closings and distribute financial reports to all clients promptly each monthAssist with complex reconciliations and problem-solvingProvide support for tax inquiries and audits conducted by third-party CPA firmsConduct and support 1408 assessments and accounting ecosystem evaluationsPerform any additional duties as assignedClient Account ManagementOffer support for business development initiatives as directedOversee performance of all client accounting activities, ensuring successful executionFacilitate the seamless onboarding of new clientsLead internal and client status meetings with confidenceEnsure a remarkable 95% client retention rate annuallyManagement ResponsibilitiesMaintain a robust 70-80% utilization rate as ControllerSupervise and manage personnel effectivelyProvide guidance, supervision, and training for less experienced team membersManage client workload for assigned clients, ensuring utilization goals are met consistentlySupport and mentor our accounting staff in their daily responsibilitiesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred7+ years of experience in finance/accounting, with a focus on government contracts across various typesMust be a US CitizenSolid command of FASB and GAAP principlesAdvanced knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFARs regulationsExpertise in all accounting and financial transactions, including cost review, account reconciliation, and adjustmentsProactive, service-oriented approach with strong communication, project management, and leadership skillsMust have strong analytical thinking skills and be a self-starterProficiency in Microsoft Office tools and web-based applicationsExperience with accounting systems such as Unanet, Quickbooks, or Deltek Costpoint; experience in multiple systems preferredAdaptability, flexibility, and a keen sense of humor in a dynamic environmentStrong ability to plan ahead, manage multiple clients, and maintain focus while juggling prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBOOST LLC is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
