This is not a remote or hybrid position.\n\nThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of electro-mechanical equipment. Potential hire will be working directly with the design team and manufacturing vendor. Candidate will design, troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve challenges related to product development. This includes root cause analysis, working with suppliers and in-house support personnel, and design improvements from concept to production. Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining, updating drawings and Bills of Material and offer test support. This position is onsite at our Springfield, VA office.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities\n\nDesign systems and integrate the multiple systems using SolidWorks from initial concept stage through production launch.\n\nGenerate and provide analysis of FEA studies in Solidworks.\n\nGenerate and analyze drawings from parts/assemblies IAW ASME 14.100 and MIL- STD-31000.\n\nAssist in production problem solving by interfacing with the manufacturing team to find creative solutions.\n\nCommunicate and collaborate with team members and represent the company with customers and suppliers.\n\nRequired Education/Experience\n\nEducation: 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with 1-5+ years of hands‑on experience.
