Electrical Engineer III
JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer III will be designing, creating BOM’s, debugging and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include:
Designing moderate to complex work
Directing work of others as needed
Designing for any of our product lines
Generating schematics, panel layout drawings, PLC and HMI programs
Generating accurate electrical Bills of Materials
Adhering to engineering processes and procedures
Additional items as assigned by manager
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position will primarily be communicating with other Engineers, Buyers, Estimators, Manufacturing personnel, Vendors, and Service Technicians. They will also be communicating with customers occasionally.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field plus a general knowledge of related fields
Develops technical solutions for moderate to complex problems
AutoCAD experience
Design and programming of PLC’s, HMI programs, and fault logic for machine control
Design and engineering of power circuits, panel layouts, and controls
Reading/interpreting complex electrical drawings and with understanding of mechanical drawings
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to get along with a variety of personalities and individuals
Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
Ability to multi-task
Ability to meet budgets and deadlines
Experience working in an ISO Certified company a plus
Experience with root-cause analysis and problem solving preferred
Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications
Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex proprietary or industry standards and regulations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required
6+ years of Engineering experience
EQUIPMENT USED
This position will use a computer with Microsoft Office, telephone, copier, engineering measurement tools, MRP system, AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Electrical.
WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
This position will be in an indoor office setting with time spent on the manufacturing floor, some traveling may be required.
