Content Acquisition Specialist
This role supports the content acquisition team by researching contract terms, analyzing sales data, and assisting with dealmaking activities. You’ll work closely with internal teams including deal operations and legal, as well as external partners such as publishers, agents, and authors. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong interest in media, books, and entertainment.ResponsibilitiesGenerate sales and performance reports using business intelligence toolsResearch and compile contract terms by reviewing agreements, amendments, and internal databasesPartner with legal teams to support drafting and updating contract amendmentsProvide operational support to the content acquisition teamEnter, update, and maintain records in Salesforce and other internal systemsProcess payee changes, content terminations, and related updatesSupport and negotiate license renewalsCollaborate across internal teams and external partners to support ongoing workflowsRequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in publishing or rights licensingStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Salesforce, Airtable, and similar toolsExperience working with large datasets and managing high volumes of informationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong business judgment and problem-solving abilityAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
