Lead Teacher

Love & Blessings Academy in Shreveport, LA is looking for a lead teacher to join our strong team. We are located 4016 Greenwood Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable. Responsibilities *provide a safe and loving environment for the children in care *Feed children *Change diapers as needed *Soothe children by singing to and cuddling them *Supervise children on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys *Put children down for nap time *Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean Qualifications for Teacher . High School Diploma or GED *Completion of the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority *Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations *Ability to pass a background check *Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children *Able to lift up to 30 pounds *Extended periods of time sitting on the floor *Ability to work a shift in between 7:30 am _4:30 (sometimes 5.30 pm) *Reliable transportation to the Child Care center *Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents Must have more than 6 months experience in a Class III child care center or HeadStart. Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $9.00 - $9.50/hour.
