Much of that work starts with right of way, and our team of mission-driven experts is expanding. We're looking for a full-time Senior Right of Way Agent to help advance public works projects in South Louisiana to construction through pre-planning and right of way acquisition.An ideal candidate will embrace our mission and commitment to helping clients succeed. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of a project lifecycle. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:Conduct title research, prepare abstracts, and review abstracts prepared by others for compliance, completeness and accuracyRead and interpret engineering maps, construction plans, and property descriptionsIdentify scope and execute turnkey right of way acquisition services, including surveyor and appraiser coordination, negotiations, and closingsDraft various agreements including sales, easements, mortgage releases and other documents required for the acquisition of various land rightsServe as a point of contact for team members and manage relationships with clients and stakeholdersProduce project-related communication, such as status reports and meeting notesImplement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle through oversight and review of completed work productsAssign and delegate tasks to team members and work on multiple assignmentsWork within parameters of client specifications which vary from project to project based on regulatory requirementsRequirementsRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's Degree and 5 years of professional experience in a related field such as land management, planning, or lawAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProblem solving and critical thinking skills and a strong work ethicExcellent communication skills, both written and oralAbility to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentialityDesire to grow in all disciplines within the right of way industry and embrace CCG's technology and tools for managing the land acquisition processAbility to maintain daily timesheets with notes of services provided and to adhere to project budgetsStrong technical skills and experience utilizing the Microsoft Office SuiteThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience noted above and may demonstrate the following skills:Knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures governing public projectsExperience working in a GIS platformUnderstanding of curative title requirementsKnowledge of the Uniform Relocation ActThe position is based in the Greater New Orleans Area with the ability to work remotely. Travel to the CCG office in Metairie is required depending on project needs as well as regular travel for project related meetings across the region, including the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metropolitan areas and Southwest Louisiana.
