Mechanical Designer / Engineer

Type: Full-Time Location: Columbia, South Carolina Responsibilties: Systems analysis and design for HVAC systems. Life cycle cost analysis. •Load analysis and equipment selection. Writing of specifications and technical reports. Good communication skills with Owner and Architect. Controls specification including schematics, sequence of operation, and summary. Field investigations for existing and new construction. Use of computers to perform engineering tasks. Completion of projects within the architect’s and client’s schedule. Prompt and complete response to project issues during design and construction. CAD and Revit MEP skills necessary to develop construction documents. Skill and care necessary to improve Buford Goff & Associates, Inc. opportunity to develop repeat work with client. Qualifications: A minimum of 8 years design experience with commercial, healthcare, and educational design is required.
