calculations, over/under billings, and gross profit tracking\r\nManage percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition in accordance with construction industry GAAP and ASC 606\r\nPartner with project managers and estimators on project budgets, cost tracking, variance analysis, and profitability reporting\r\nDrive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting\r\nPrepare executive-level reporting including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reporting, and operational dashboards\r\nOversee AP/AR processes including retainage tracking, lien waivers, subcontractor compliance, and certified payroll support\r\nLead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and banking/line-of-credit reporting activities\r\nDesign and improve internal controls, accounting workflows, and reporting systems to support company growth and operational efficiency\r\nServe as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and compliance requirements\r\nController Qualifications\r\n10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in construction, contracting, or restoration accounting environments\r\nProven hands-on expertise with job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition\r\nPrior Controller or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred\r\nStrong background partnering with operations and project management teams in a fast-paced construction environment\r\nExperience improving systems, implementing process changes, and operating in a hands-on accounting leadership role\r\nProficiency with construction accounting software such as Sage 100/300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, Procore Financials, or similar platforms\r\nAdvanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis/modeling\r\nStrong understanding of construction GAAP, ASC 606, and long-term contract accounting\r\nCPA or CMA preferred but not required\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required\r\nAdditional Details\r\nFully onsite role based in East Haven, CT\r\nCurrent
