As a Strategic Sourcing Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and suppliers to ensure the selection, qualification, and lifecycle management of components critical to our products. You will drive sourcing strategies that improve availability, reliability, quality, and cost while supporting Axcelis' commitment to innovation and operational excellence.\nWhat You'll Do: Source, evaluate, select, and qualify components used in Axcelis products and technologies.\nAct as the primary technical interface between suppliers and internal engineering teams.\nInvestigate and qualify alternate component technologies and sources to improve cost, quality, reliability, and supply continuity.\nEvaluate supplier change notifications and determine qualification requirements.\nDevelop and execute component qualification plans including testing, validation, and documentation.\nSupport lifecycle management and obsolescence mitigation activities.\nDevelop supplier selection guidelines and qualification procedures.\nMaintain component records, qualification data, and technical documentation.\nWhat You Need: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field.\n2–4 years of professional experience in sourcing, engineering, supplier quality, or related discipline.\nExperience working with suppliers and component qualification activities.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nSemiconductor or high-technology manufacturing experience preferred.\nWhy Axcelis?
