This individual will work closely with Production, Engineering, Test, OSRC, Security, IT, Workplace Operations, landlords, and service providers to ensure facility requirements are identified early and facility issues are resolved efficiently.\n\nThe ideal candidate is highly responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly in the field. This role requires someone who can manage multiple sites and priorities, coordinate contractors and service providers, and take ownership of facility issues through completion in a rapidly evolving startup environment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nSupport the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance, cleanliness, organization, and readiness of Hermeus’ Los Angeles facilities portfolio.\n\nConduct routine facility assessments to identify maintenance issues, infrastructure deficiencies, housekeeping concerns, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.\n\nCoordinate facilities vendors and service providers, including scheduling, access management, work verification, invoice review, and service quality follow‑up.\n\nMaintain facility work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, service documentation, asset records, and facilities‑related data through established management systems.\n\nCoordinate with landlords, property management teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure facility services, repairs, and lease‑related obligations are executed effectively.\n\nCoordinate space planning updates, equipment placement activities, facility reconfigurations, and workplace changes in support of operational requirements.\n\nCoordinate facilities projects, equipment installations, utility connections, contractor activities, and facility modifications to support project execution and operational readiness.\n\nTrack facilities operating expenses, review invoices, manage purchase orders, and support budget forecasting and financial reporting activities.\n\nPartner with Production, Engineering, Test, OSRC, Security, IT, and Workplace Operations to support operational readiness and facility requirements across the portfolio.\n\nRespond to facility incidents, service disruptions, and urgent maintenance needs, including after‑hours escalation when required.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\n\n3–5 years of experience in facilities management, property operations, building maintenance, manufacturing operations, construction management, or a related field.\n\nExperience supporting commercial office, industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, laboratory, or similarly complex operating environments.\n\nWorking knowledge of commercial and industrial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems, building controls, and general facility maintenance.\n\nDemonstrated experience managing vendors, service providers, maintenance activities, projects, work orders, and facility‑related expenses.\n\nExperience utilizing a CMMS or similar facilities management platform to manage assets, preventive maintenance programs, and work‑order processes.\n\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nAbility to travel regularly between Los Angeles‑area facilities and respond to urgent site issues outside standard business hours when necessary.\n\nSalary: $100,000 - $125,000 a year. The salary range listed for this role is intended as a general guideline.
