{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ea66bb3ffac007b805bccb9c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ea66bb3ffac007b805bccb9c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ea66bb3ffac007b805bccb9c","title":"THRIVE Coach","description":"Job Title THRIVE Coach\r\nLocation Texas\r\nPosition Details\r\nWeekly Scheduled Hours: 10-20 Hours per week\r\nPay Rate: $40/hour\r\nEarliest Start Date: Jun 01, 2026\r\nPosition Duration: Expected to Continue Until Aug 15, 2026\r\nResponsibilities\r\nBuild and sustain strong trust-based relationships with campus leaders, mentor teachers, ECTs, and district leaders.\r\nServe as a bridge across layers of the system (ECTs, mentors, campus leadership, district leadership), ensuring alignment and communication.\r\nElevate educator voice to strengthen campus culture and inform mentoring and leadership practices.\r\nSupport districts in navigating shifts in leadership structures, roles, and responsibilities connected to mentoring and induction.\r\nProvide coaching and support to campus leaders (systems, practices, beliefs, culture), mentor teachers and leads, and ECTs (emphasis on relationship-building).\r\nModel asset-based, non-evaluative, human-centered coaching approaches; adapt coaching intensity and caseload based on district engagement model, size, and needs.\r\nCoach leaders and mentors in facilitating their own learning spaces over time.\r\nLead or co-facilitate professional learning experiences, including THRIVE/PREP trainings, mentor academies, design sessions for leaders, communities of practice or PLCs.\r\nSupport PREP Leader design sessions and district planning efforts; customize facilitation and learning experiences based on district context.\r\nSupport districts in designing, refining, and implementing mentoring and induction structures aligned to THRIVE principles.\r\nIdentify opportunities for developing and refining tools, resources, and templates that support mentoring quality and consistency.\r\nEngage in data collection activities (interaction logs, surveys, observation checklists, focus groups, artifact review).\r\nUse data to identify needs, patterns, and opportunities for growth at campus and district levels.\r\nSupport districts in understanding and using data to inform mentoring practices and leadership decisions.\r\nContribute to evaluation efforts that assess culture, climate, educator growth, and retention.\r\nDocument coaching activities, trends, and insights to support continuous improvement and reporting requirements.\r\nCoach campus and district leaders in building systems that support mentorship, distributed leadership, and educator growth.\r\nSupport leaders in shifting from compliance-based to learning-oriented mentoring structures.\r\nHelp leaders develop facilitation, coaching, and reflective leadership skills; encourage non-linear leadership pathways for educators.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in education, human development, organizational leadership, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).\r\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in education or a related field, including supporting early career teachers and/or mentors through coaching, facilitation, or leadership.\r\nStrong understanding of mentoring, coaching, and adult learning principles; strong facilitation skills in both virtual and in-person settings.\r\nAbility to build trust and navigate complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics.\r\nSystems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect roles, structures, and practices.\r\nStrong organizational and documentation skills, including managing multiple workstreams.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience as a campus-based or district-level leader (e.g., department lead, instructional lead, assistant principal, program lead).\r\nBackground in instructional coaching, leadership coaching, or large-scale program implementation.\r\nFamiliarity with evaluation, continuous improvement, or improvement science approaches, including qualitative and/or quantitative data use.\r\nEmployment Eligibility\r\nRegular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting.\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer\r\nThe University of Texas at Austin, as an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer, complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination and affirmative action.
