The company partners with schools, parks, daycares, and churches, delivering everything from playground structures and artificial turf to pavilions, shades, and safety surfacing. Recently acquired by a private equity-backed family office, Child's Play is entering a new phase of growth—with a focus on scaling operations, strengthening financial infrastructure, and pursuing strategic acquisitions.The OpportunityThis is a high-impact finance leadership role at a company in growth mode. You'll own the accounting function end-to-end while helping build the financial foundation needed to scale across systems and processes. You'll work directly with the President and play a key role in driving financial visibility, operational discipline, and smarter decision-making.What You'll OwnFinancial Operations & ReportingLead the month-end close process with a focus on accuracy and timelinessDeliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reportingEnsure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong financial controlsProcess & InfrastructureBuild and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsLead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesDevelop scalable processes as the business growsCash, Banking & ComplianceMonitor cash flow and oversee financial transactionsManage banking relationships and compliance reportingPartner with external auditors and oversee audit processesCoordinate tax filings with external advisorsStrategic Finance & InsightsAnalyze financial performance and surface actionable insights to leadershipBuild a robust job costing framework to drive visibility into project-level profitabilitySupport pricing and quoting decisions with financial dataGrowth EnablementHelp lay the groundwork for future growth initiativesWork with the Leadership Team for futurer proofing, strategy & projectionsWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or Master's preferred)CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred5+ years recent experience in financial leadership or accounting roleStrong foundation in GAAP and financial reportingExperience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar)Proven ability to build processes and operate in a growing businessStrong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into actionTeam leadership experience and a hands-on mindsetNice to HaveERP implementation or upgrade experienceExperience in construction, distribution, or project-based environmentsComfort operating in a PE-backed or high-growth settingWhy This RoleDirect exposure to executive leadershipOpportunity to build and shape finance within a scaling businessGrowth potential as the company expands through organic growth and M&AAdditional Job Application TermsThis job is part of LinkedIn's Full-Service Hiring beta program.
