Job Description:\nWe are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and sustain data-driven backend systems that power secure, high performance search and analytics capabilities for our customer. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in multidisciplinary environments. Adept at combining backend development, data engineering, systems design, and DevSecOps. You will architect and deliver services that enable rapid data discovery, intelligent search, and mission-critical insights across multiple networks and environments. You’ll work within a fast-moving team of engineers and analysts dedicated to delivering reliable, scalable, and secure software that directly supports U.S. national security missions. This role is hybrid in Fayetteville, NC at Fort Bragg (3 days onsite, 2 remote).\nJob Duties Include (but not limited to):\nArchitect and develop backend services for data ingestion, search, and retrieval across structured and unstructured data sources.\nDesign APIs and microservices that enable search, indexing, and metadata operations across multiple environments.\nEngineer and maintain a unified access control layer and data models to protect and make operational and analytical data available.\nImplement DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-ascode, and continuous monitoring across classified and unclassified networks.\nEnsure system reliability and compliance with cybersecurity and accreditation requirements (RMF, NIST 800-53, etc.).\nCollaborate across functional teams, including data science, cloud, and frontend engineering, to deliver end-to-end technical solutions.\nProvide technical leadership through code reviews, mentorship, design documentation, and engineering best practices.\nSupport applied research efforts by integrating emerging AI/ML and search technologies into production-grade systems. Required Skills & Experience:\n7+ years of professional experience in backend or systems engineering.\nAdvanced proficiency in multiple backend programming languages (Python, Go, Java, or similar).\nDeep understanding of search and data systems, including indexing, query optimization, and caching strategies.\nExperience designing and managing databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/ OpenSearch, or similar).\nProven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes).\nStrong background in DevSecOps, including CI/CD (GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code (Helm, Terraform, Ansible).\nExperience building and maintaining secure, compliant systems in federal or defense environments.\nFamiliarity with distributed systems, API design, and secure service-to-service communication.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or federal agencies.\nKnowledge of federated search, knowledge graphs, or data catalog technologies.\nExperience integrating machine learning or natural language processing models into search or data pipelines.\nProficiency in data visualization, operational analytics, or dashboard frameworks.\nBackground in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or large-scalesystems architecture.\nDue to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.\nEducation & Certifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in a related field required\nSecurity Clearance:\nAn active TS/SCI security clearance is REQUIRED.
