Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages with precision and care. Operate the Toast POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations. Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed. Utilize time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions accurately while following cashiering protocols. Contribute to sales goals through effective upselling techniques and product knowledge. Requirements Previous barista or coffee experience preferred, with a strong understanding of beverage preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere. Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the food industry. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
