This role will guide day-to-day accounting activities, support accurate reporting, and provide financial insight that helps leadership make informed decisions. The position also plays an important part in maintaining compliance across payroll, insurance, and tax support.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDirect core accounting functions, including general ledger activity, month-end close, budgeting, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and profit-sharing administration.\nProduce timely financial statements and management reports, ensuring all data is complete, well-supported, and aligned with reporting requirements.\nReconcile bank accounts and balance sheet activity while strengthening internal controls and maintaining compliance with applicable financial standards.\nCoordinate insurance renewals and coverage administration for workers’ compensation, general liability, umbrella policies, and related programs.\nManage recurring regulatory filings, business registrations, permits, licenses, and certifications to keep the organization in good standing.\nPartner with external tax professionals by preparing schedules, gathering required documentation, and supporting accurate and timely tax submissions.\nOversee payroll processing and related compliance matters, including labor law requirements, wage determinations, and certified payroll reporting.\nTrack company vehicles, equipment, and other assets by maintaining financial records, registrations, inspections, and permit documentation.\nLead and support accounting staff by setting priorities, reviewing work quality, and promoting an efficient, collaborative team environment.\nAt least 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager role or comparable accounting leadership position.\nStrong command of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.\nDemonstrated experience reviewing financial statements, maintaining internal controls, and supporting audit readiness.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ComputerEase or Deltek ComputerEase is highly valued.\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.\nClear written and verbal communication skills for working with leadership, employees, and external business partners.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail in payroll, compliance reporting, and financial recordkeeping.\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; construction industry accounting experience is a plus.\nRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
