In this position, you'll work with a large team to fabricate and complete custom steel weldments. You'll layout, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble various furniture components using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nInspect and measure finished weldments to insure they meet provided specications. Compare them to documentation and drawings provided to determine if the process has been completed properly.\nReview Bill of Materials and gather all necessary pre-cut steel tubes, components, brackets, and hardware prior to welding.\nSetup components for welding according to specifications. Utilize Jigs and fixture methods to construct weldments.\nMaintains tools and general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership, Perform inventory controls, and safe working environment.\nBe a role model for all production team members and to stay actively involved in developing the Formaspace culture along with continued participation in culture crew events and activities associated with building our culture.\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nExperience:\n1 year welding experience; preferred 2-3 years' welding experience or certifications.\nSkills:\nAttention to detail; strong understanding of customer requirements; and demonstrated communication skills.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to temperature ranges from 65 to 95 degrees F as well as low and high humidity ranges.
