As a multi-disciplinary engineering firm, success in this position will require an individual to use prescribed methods, standard techniques and practices to perform various engineering assignments. Our goal is to provide an environment for engineering professionals to learn, grow and master necessary skills to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging environment.\n\nReports to Development Project Managers\n0-3 years of previous experience in civil design engineering\nFull-time, Non-Exempt\n\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nAssist Development Team with production duties such as design, plan preparation and bid documents\nPerform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources: Stormwater Management Design, Site Grading, Erosion and Sediment Control Design\nComplete various land development and environmental permitting applications\nPerform engineering calculations and prepare plans/specifications in accordance with project requirements for agency/municipal review\nKeep direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns\nCommunicate with project leaders to gain a thorough understanding of project scope and coordinate with engineers on project requirements\nReview shop drawings, RFIs and assist with responses to other construction questions\n\nSKILL SET\n\nAbility to read and understand blueprints and contract specifications\nExperience in stormwater management design, site grading, erosion and sediment control design and building code permitting processes\nProficiency with computer-based design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, REVIT) & familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software\nExceptional written and oral communication skills and ability to interact professionally with coworkers, clients, contractors and management\nAbility to work and balance priorities amongst multiple projects\nOutgoing, self-motivated team player\nProven success in delivering high quality project submittals\nValid Driver’s License required - some tasks may require travel. Time and mileage would be reimbursed (at current DOT mileage rates) based on current policies.\n\nEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution required\nEngineering Intern (E.I.)
