Ceramics Instructor

The Mud Room is a community ceramics studio in Portland, OR with two locations. We offer a range of different classes and are looking for a committed, kind, reliable, positive individual to join our teaching team. We are currently hiring teachers for both our SE and North ceramics studios! We are hoping to begin this teaching role in January of 2025. We are currently looking for teachers who are interested in any of the following: teaching wheel throwing twice weekly for 5 week sessions (10 classes total) You can find an example class at themudroompdx.com/classes-and-workshops. teaching one time wheel throwing workshops on friday night, saturday night, or sunday night at least 2x/month. This also includes trimming and glazing the pieces and seeing them through the firing process. You can find an example class at themudroompdx.com/classes-and-workshops Our pay starts at $35/hour for long form classes with the ability to move to $40 an hour after 3 sessions of good reviews. The one time wheel classes are paid at $240/session which includes trimming and glazing the pots.
