We are proud to have become a shining example of what's possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.Work ShiftVarious (United States of America)Job SummaryThe Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities.Region Four includes Columbia County Medical Center & MCG Health Medical Center.As aCT Technologistfor Region Four, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve.If you prefer a role that avoids routine, lets you use your full skill set, and provides straightforward pay, this could be a strong fit.Work ShiftFull TimePayIn return for stepping in where you're needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rate and may be eligible for a float incentive.Schedule & IncentivesFloat Pool technologists have clarity and choice:Multiple shift options available to self-schedule up to8 weeksin advanceMonthly schedule includes2 Monday shifts ,2 Friday shifts , and3 weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)This position is eligible forfull-time benefitsRequired QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programExperienceMinimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital settingMinimum 2 years of CT experience in a hospital settingCertificationsARRT-R (Radiography)ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart AssociationCore ResponsibilitiesPerform CT exams per physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards.Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and screen for contraindications (including contrast risk).Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and communicate with patients/families with empathy and confidence.Prepare and position patients; assist with mobility, safe transfers, and use immobilization/shielding as needed.Establish IV access using sterile technique and maintain venipuncture competency.Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions; escalate concerns promptly.Operate CT scanners and power injectors safely; confirm proper anatomical markers and scan parameters.Optimize technique to achieve diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA).Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings/clinical changes, and involve the radiologist/physician when indicated.Complete documentation accurately and on time; manage RIS entries, PACS uploads, and CDs/logs when required.Perform, document, and follow through on QC checks, calibration verification, and compliance/audit standards.Maintain smooth daily operations by prioritizing workload, supporting cross-coverage/clerical needs, keeping rooms stocked and equipment cleaned/disinfected, participating in on-call, and adhering to regulatory/Joint Commission standards.Closing StatementJoin us and discover the support to do more meaningful work-and enjoy a more rewarding life.
