The Disassembly Technician is responsible for the disassembly and cleaning of engines. Disassembly Technician will liaise with managers and department employees. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable with engine parts and hand power tools with some mechanical experience and knowledge.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nThe Disassembly Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:\n\n· Disassembly of Diesel engines\n\n· Cleaning of engine components\n\n· Maintains a clean and organized work/storage area.\n\n· Perform other duties as assigned.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities: Individual Contributor\n\nTravel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\n\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:\n\nRequired Preferred Description\n\nx HS Education or equivalent\n\nx General knowledge of engine parts\n\nx Knowledge of hand and power tools\n\nx Knowledge of lifting equipment and/or devices\n\nx Ability to operate powered pass-through wash system\n\nx Knowledge of wash and blast cabinets a plus\n\nLANGUAGE ABILITY:\n\nRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.\n\nMATHEMATICAL ABILITY:\n\nAdd and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.\n\nREASONING ABILITY:\n\nApply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\n\nThe work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
