This role will lead efforts to design, maintain, and upgrade the technology backbone, bridging high-level IT strategy with hands-on operational execution. The ideal candidate brings strong proficiency across both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure and network environments along with key skill sets in security and operations.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE\n\nHelp define and execute the roadmap for IT infrastructure and network modernization, capacity planning, and cloud-based initiatives\nManage, update, and document reference architecture and implementation standards\nEstablish technology standards and operational procedures.\nEnsure high availability, performance, and security across all environments\nEstablish and/or maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and oversee major incident response and root cause analysis\nManage budgets, evaluate enterprise solutions, and drive contract negotiations with vendors\nDevelop and execute infrastructure and network strategy aligned with business objectives.\nDesign and support hybrid infrastructure environments.\nEnsure systems align with security policies and regulatory frameworks\nLead projects through scoping, budgeting, implementation, command and control, escalations, risk management, and time management\nEnsure project governance is defined and maintained\nPrepare technical analysis, reports, cost estimates, and contract documents\nIdentify and implement strategies to enhance infrastructure efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness\nResearch and recommend innovative technologies, processes, and practices to improve infrastructure operations\nLead network security initiatives, including firewall management, segmentation, VPN, and incident response for network-related threats\nPartner with application, development, security, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure decisions with organizational needs\nDrive automation to reduce manual operations and improve reliability\nDrive automation to reduce manual operations and improve reliability, taking an iterative approach that automates existing and new processes while continually expanding automation maturity over time\nOversee 24x7 support and on-call rotations to ensure timely response to infrastructure and network incidents\nSupport internal and external audits.\nManage strategic technology vendors.\nHire, mentor, and manage performance of the infrastructure and network team to build organizational capability\nDevelop operational metrics and KPIs and produce executive dashboards and infrastructure health reports.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\n\nAbility to plan and manage projects effectively\nExperience with capacity planning and identifying opportunities to consolidate/decommission servers, databases and storage\nDeep understanding of enterprise operating systems, directory services, networking, virtualization, and database systems, with demonstrated proficiency in both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure\nProven track record leading enterprise infrastructure and network teams, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive multiple teams toward a common goal\nStrong analytical skills and data driven decision making\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nStrong organizational skills and business acumen\nDemonstrated ability to create product specifications, performing competitive analysis and market research\nExperience hiring, mentoring, and managing performance for infrastructure and network staff\nHands-on familiarity with enterprise networking and infrastructure technologies (e.g., Cisco, VMware, firewalls, and network security tooling)\nHands on experience with VMWare and Hyper V (Oracle OCI a plus)\nExperience in Microsoft Azure cloud in areas such as Entra, PIM, Defender, InTune, Exchange, M365, Purview and Sharepoint.\nNetwork experience in Routing, Switching, Load Balancers and Firewalls.\nCybersecurity awareness in endpoint protection, SIEM and SOC management, and security controls.
