Youth Pastor/Director

Job Summary: Outlook Christian Church is seeking a dynamic and passionate Youth Pastor/Youth Director to lead and nurture our youth ministry. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to cultivating a thriving youth community (6-12 grade) rooted in the Christian faith, guiding young individuals in their spiritual journeys, and fostering a welcoming environment for all youth to grow in their relationship with God. Responsibilities & Spiritual Leadership: - Lead weekly youth services, including worship, teaching, and discipleship activities. - Mentor and disciple youth individually and in small groups. - Provide pastoral care and counseling to youth as needed. Program Development: - Develop and implement engaging programs and events to encourage spiritual growth, community building, and outreach. - Organize and oversee youth retreats, camps, mission trips, and other special events. Team Building & Community Engagement: - Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders to assist in youth ministry activities. - Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among youth leaders, volunteers, and parents. - Build relationships with youth, parents, and the wider church community. - Partner with parents to support and equip them in nurturing their children’s faith. Administrative Duties: - Manage the youth ministry budget and resources effectively. - Regularly communicate with church leadership and parents regarding youth activities and initiatives. Qualifications & Preferred Skills: - A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong personal faith and a passion for youth ministry. - Previous experience (2+ years) in youth ministry leadership, demonstrating effective teaching, mentoring, and organizational skills. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to youth, parents, and volunteers. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support the church's overall mission. - Experience in organizing and leading youth events, camps, retreats, and missions. - Proficiency in using technology and social media for ministry purposes. - Understanding of current youth culture and challenges faced by young people today.
