The Program Manager is responsible for assisting Program Director in the mentorship and development of the programming staff and that a culture of care and commitment is fostered.\nLeadership:\nOversees the day-to-day delivery of the CORE Program Model.\nImplements programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.\nEnsures continuity and consistency across areas of oversight\nTeam Management and Development:\nPromotes a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.\nEvaluates the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff and ensures appropriate staffing.\nInstills a sense of accountability among team members by modeling comprehensive oversight of individual and organization performance standards.\nWorks with the Program Director to attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance.\nLeads the Scholar intervention team to ensure all Scholars’ needs are met with excellence and timeliness. Provides relevant training for the Scholar intervention team and programming staff in order to support Scholars and parents.\nSchedules, forecasts, coaches, counsels, and disciplines team members; communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and reviews job contributions; communicates and enforces policies and procedures.\nReviews all staff data entry and ensures all program documentation is completed accurately and timely,Plans for team member assessments under the direction of the Program Director; prepares and presents team member reviews.\nRallies team members to generate morale while managing team member performance.\nModel Management and Development:\nEnsures ongoing programming excellence.\nCollaborates with Curriculum Manager to support curriculum implementation.\nAssesses scholar engagement and ensures the programming team is proactive in all scholar interactions.\nEnsures programs are being measured and data is communicated in order to assist the Program Director in evaluating the effectiveness and impact of current programming.\nEnsures all programs of the model are executed yearly, in compliance with the CORE mission statement.\nUtilizes the current systems, processes, and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge that is generated by the programs to continue to empower the Scholars to lead a choice filled life.\nCommunicates with the Program Director any gaps in services so that community partners and vendors can be identified and assessed.\nCommunicates budget restrictions and usage to staff based on direction from the Program Director\nAnalyzes program risks and mitigates those risks; communicated that information to the Program Director in order to develop and modify the program as needed.Produces accurate and timely reporting of program status.\nAssesses key demographic criteria of our scholars and determines their needs from both a practical and an emotional perspective.\nRequirements:\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or other closely related field; advanced degree in Education or Social Work preferred.\nMinimum 5 years of related professional or programming experience in a supervisory capacity.\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience working with children ages 11-18 years old.\nPrior non-profit experience ideal; management of multifaceted or collective impact organization preferred.\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to work independently as well as to function effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.\nLeadership qualities: inspire passion in others, positive, engaging and patient.\nAbility to work effectively with children, families, professionals and other personnel from a wide range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds.\nAbility to monitor, analyze, consult, and report on programs and services.\nAdvanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.\nExcellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written.\nProficient with computer applications—a thorough understanding of Apple Products and the ability to learn and master other computer technology/software programs as needed. Good command of Internet usage. Understands the value of case management systems and experience with utilizing those systems while encouraging and coaching staff to complete case notes.\nProven experience running programs for children from ages 11-18\nExcellent follow-through and persistence when corresponding with families, teachers, and staff.\nCommitted to young people, their families, and the mission of the organization.\nExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.\nStrong critical and creative thinking skills.\nStrong work ethic.\nFlexible.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExtensive knowledge of current trends and issues in education with a particular focus on issues in K-12 education.\nKnowledge of, and experience implementing,research-based curriculum.\nAbility to design training programs and provide training to various-sized groups.\nFluent Spanish skills preferred.\nTravel and Varied-Scheduling Requirements:\nAbility to travel independently and alone (to locations which may not be handicap accessible and may include climbing stairs) and manage travel arrangements. Must be available to travel throughout the U.S. as necessary with some overnight stays required.\nSchedule will typically be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the need to work evenings and weekends as necessary to assist with program events.\nSupervisory Responsibilities: Advisors, Social Emotional Champions\nReports to: Program Director\nPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear.
