Benefits:Bonus based on performanceCompetitive salaryEmployee discountsFree food & snacksOpportunity for advancementPaid time offTraining & developmentJob SummaryFour Points by Sheraton Detroit Novi is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Hotel Director of Sales to lead sales efforts for our full-service hotel, restaurants, banquet space, and group business.Our property features 220 guest rooms, restaurants, a banquet center, and over 14,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space in the heart of Novi's shopping and entertainment district, near Twelve Oaks Mall, Fountain Walk, and major corporate demand generators.The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue through corporate accounts, group bookings, meetings, social events, weddings, sports teams, and local business development.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute hotel sales strategies to grow room revenue, group business, and banquet/catering salesProspect and secure new corporate accounts, group blocks, meetings, weddings, and social eventsBuild relationships with local businesses, event planners, sports teams, associations, and community organizationsConduct sales calls, client meetings, property tours, and networking outreachManage existing accounts and identify opportunities to increase repeat businessWork closely with hotel operations, revenue management, front desk, banquets, and food & beverage teamsLead, support, and hold the sales team accountable to activity and revenue goalsPrepare proposals, contracts, sales reports, forecasts, and action plansMonitor competitor activity, market trends, and local demand opportunitiesRepresent the hotel at community events, trade shows, and networking functions QualificationsHotel sales experience requiredPrevious Director of Sales or senior hotel sales experience preferredExperience with group sales, corporate accounts, meetings, weddings, and/or catering salesMarriott brand experience preferred but not requiredStrong communication, leadership, and negotiation skillsProven ability to prospect, close business, and meet sales goalsOrganized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environmentFamiliarity with hotel systems, sales platforms, and revenue management concepts preferred Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a hospitality sales professional who is comfortable being both strategic and hands-on.
