Seasonal Laborer

Seasonal Laborer Opportunity at Aqua OhioAqua, an Essential Utilities company, is currently hiring for a full time seasonal laborer available from May through August. In this role, the primary responsibilities are cleaning and painting fire hydrants throughout an assigned territory. Additional responsibilities may also include grounds keeping, facility maintenance, assisting with cleanup and custodial needs. This position must be able to interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.Essential Duties:Cleaning and painting fire hydrants throughout an assigned territoryRoutine facility maintenance including grounds keeping and custodial needs as assigned.Loads and unloads various equipment, chemicals and supplies at worksites and storage areas.Updates and maintains documentation of work activities (data entry), including closing work orders as needed in the operating system.Adheres to all safety and security operating policies, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure a safe working environmentAssists with other tasks or projects as assignedQualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldMust have a valid driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Familiarity with computers and work systems such as Microsoft office suiteExcellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely, and professionally) with customers and internal staff.Strong customer service skillsAbility to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedulesAbility to work outdoors for extended periods of time, weather permittingMust always follow directions and implement safety proceduresA team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environmentWorking Conditions/Physical Demands:May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, and mistsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Working conditions include travel to work sites of Essential Utilities and/or other constituents.Aqua, an Essential Utilities company is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
