You will create complex algorithms for the purpose of aligning data systems with business goals. You will manage projects within larger projects.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nBuild and maintain complex scalable data pipelines for both batch and stream processing in a cloud-computing environment.\n\nApply complex dimensional modeling to design tables and views that map business processes into an enterprise data model.\n\nOptimize database architecture by trading off storage and computation to achieve low cost and high performance.\n\nBuild and support complex ETL infrastructure to deliver clean and reliable data to the organization.\n\nSupport the development of new products and services via ingestion, processing, and formatting data for reporting and analytics.\n\nInteract face-to-face with business stakeholders, develop cooperative relationships, and acquire domain knowledge of the business.\n\nProactively automate manual processes throughout the business for higher efficiency, robustness, and speed.\n\nHelp enforce production standards and governance best practices in the management of enterprise-level data, metrics, and reports.\n\nManage projects within larger projects\n\nMay include other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (Masters or PhD preferred)\n\nMinimum Experience required: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar work\n\nRequired Skills:\n\nExcellent communication and inter-personal skills.\n\nVersatile and quick learner with ability to pick up any new skills necessary to get the job done.\n\nDemonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development, data warehousing, data pipeline and data lake creation.\n\nExtensive experience with cloud infrastructure and tools for AWS and GCP.\n\nDemonstrable proficiency in Python development and advanced SQL querying.\n\nStrong grasp of business elements and ability to convert requirements into database models and full-data pipeline systems.\n\nExperience with visualization and reporting tools, such as Looker and Tableau.\n\nExperience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake\n\nExperience building data lakes in the cloud\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\nFull stack experience, including microservice and web app development.\n\nKnowledge of big data platforms, such as Hadoop and Spark.\n\nOther/State Specific\n\nThis role pays between $ 114k to $ 145k , and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.\n\nAt Frontdoor certain roles are eligible for additional rewards and incentives.
