This role requires strong technical skills in business intelligence tools and SQL, as well as the ability to translate business needs into effective data visualizations.\r\nResponsibilities Interact directly with client stakeholders (business or technical) to understand their data visualization needs.\r\nUse SQL queries to explore, analyze, and import data sources for report development.\r\nWork directly with clients to understand their business goals, data needs, and reporting requirements.\r\nCreate prototypes based on stakeholder requirements to validate report/dashboard design.\r\nDevelop and optimize reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.\r\nEnsure data accuracy by performing quality checks on source data.\r\nUnderstand and follow best practices in data visualization, automation, and user experience and participate in the cultivation of data visualization culture and community internally.\r\nDocument and train end-users on BI deliverables to ensure long-term sustainability.\r\nQualifications 3+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, D3).\r\n3+ years writing SQL queries of medium complexity.\r\nStrong understanding of relational database structures.\r\nProven ability to present complex data in an intuitive and visually compelling manner.\r\nExperience in analyzing stakeholder needs and developing user-friendly visualizations.\r\nDetail-oriented with a strong sense of data accuracy and quality assurance.\r\nAbility to structure and write clear, concise documentation.\r\nFamiliarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.\r\nKnowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.\r\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira).\r\nEnthusiastic about learning and adopting new features within BI tools.\r\nPay Range $102,805 - $149,319 USD\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer Excella is an equal opportunity employer.
