{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ea1b57884e8a7383ce5fbe8a","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ea1b57884e8a7383ce5fbe8a","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ea1b57884e8a7383ce5fbe8a","title":"Environmental Chambers Engineer","description":"Job Details Job Location: CA Moorpark - Moorpark, CA 93021\nPosition Type: Full Time\nEducation Level: 4 Year Degree\nSalary Range: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00\nTravel Percentage: Up to 25%\nJob Shift: Day\nJob Category: Engineering\nSummary/Purpose of the Position The TestEquity Environmental Chamber Engineer designs, operates, maintains, and tests specialized equipment that simulates extreme environmental conditions like temperature, humidity.\nEssential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities System Design: Develop, modify, and optimize refrigeration, heating, electrical, and control systems for TEQ environmental test chambers.\nMaintenance & Calibration: Support our OEM manufacturers by performing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical failures, and calibrate sensors to ensure testing accuracy.\nTest Execution: Program and run profiles on (e.g., thermal cycling, steady-state humidity) according to international standards.\nData Analysis: Monitor chamber performance, compile test data, and draft technical evaluation reports for our OEM manufacturers.\nSafety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment complies with occupational safety standards, pressure vessel regulations, and environmental laws regarding refrigerants.\nQualifications Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.\nTechnical Skills Proficiency with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and HMI software.\nStrong understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration systems.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and blueprints.\nFamiliarity with data acquisition (DAQ) hardware and software\nExperience 2–5 years of hands‑on experience working with industrial ovens, environmental chambers, or complex HVAC/R systems.\nPhysical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.\nAbility to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.\nWork Authorization This position requires applicants to be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship;
