Provide expert mechanical engineering comments based on these requirements.\nReview the mechanical system layout in the specialized room such as the data closet and the communications room.\nPerform and interpret cooling load calculations.\nRead ductwork layouts.\nUnderstand ducted and plenum return air systems, including Z-ducts and U-ducts in the design.\nUnderstand different mechanical systems. Review the advantages and disadvantages of each system.\nUnderstand watts per square foot ratio for various rooms.\nReview drawings and ensure compliance with local codes.\nWrite and review sequence of operations for various HVAC systems.\nReview various 24/7 mechanical systems and determine which system complies with the POR.\nParticipate in commissioning of mechanical systems at the end of each project.\nCalculate life-cycle analysis of various HVAC systems.\nWork with team to develop cost estimates for various HVAC systems.\nWrite scope of work for HVAC system.\nReview air and water balance reports (TAB).\nPerform construction administration duties, such as reviewing RFIs, field reports, and submittals.\nParticipate in quality control and quality assurance during construction.\nWork Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering\n10 years of experience in the design of building electrical systems\nProficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit\nTop Secret security clearance\nWorking Environment & Conditions\nThis job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.\nThis position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.\nThe incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
