Join the team and become part of an industry-leading sports and entertainment organization.\n\nA skate on every foot, a hockey jersey on every back!\n\nJob Title:\nOperations Associate\n\nPay Details:\nThe starting hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.\n\nThe Operations Associate is responsible for performing the daily activities required to operate the Rink facility (Ice or Inline), including all aspects of customer service, cash handling, and skate guard during public sessions.\n\nResponsibilities\nThe Operations Associate will be assigned to one or more of the following skill areas:\n\nFront Desk/Reception:\nCommunicate rink program information to Guests\nOperate the Point of Sale system in a skillful, expedient manner while efficiently and accurately performing daily cash-handling activities\nCoordinate locker room check-in and check-out procedures\nGreet and assist Guests throughout the facility\nAnswer the telephone in a cheerful, courteous, and timely manner\n\nSkate Counter:\nEfficiently distribute skates and assist Guests in proper skate size selection.\nManage customer flow, including timeliness of service and line flow\nCollect, inspect, and properly store skates in the correct location\nSharpen/maintain rental skates for quality performance/presentation\n\nSnack Bar (Not at Great Park Ice):\nDemonstrate a thorough knowledge of menu items, recipes, and prices for the Snack Bar operation\nEfficiently and accurately perform daily cash-handling activities\nSkillfully operate food and beverage equipment machines and prepares product in a proficient manner\nManage customer flow, including timeliness of service and line flow\n\nSkate Guard:\nSafeguard public sessions to ensure exemplary Guest experience and safety by monitoring activity on rink surfaces and in other controlled areas\nMonitor rink conditions; remove debris from rink surface\nMust be able to skate for up to 2 hours or willing to learn to skate\nMaintain an encouraging and attentive demeanor throughout the session\nMonitor the safety of skaters, including proper usage of skates and other equipment\n\nScorekeeper:\nEfficiently and accurately perform scorekeeping duties\nCommunicate effectively with referees in fast-paced, dynamic environment\n\nParty Host:\nSet up and decorate the party room prior to guest’s arrival\nSet up appropriate facility signage\nMaintain a positive and attentive demeanor throughout the party\nProvide outstanding customer service throughout the event, ensuring that food is served on time, assisting with skate size selection and timing of skate\n\nAll above areas are responsible for:\nProviding excellent customer service by enthusiastically servicing Guests while performing a multitude of diverse tasks, being thorough, accurate, and prompt when responding to Guest inquiries, and when necessary directing the individual to the appropriate Associate\nDemonstrating the initiative and commitment to communication and teamwork to ensure optimal Guest Service\nAdhering to First Aid and emergency guidelines and procedures\nBeing alert to and communicating safety/security problems to Shift Manager in a timely manner\nAdhering to manufacturer's specifications when using equipment or materials in order to assure no risk to self, fellow Associates, or guests\nMaintaining The Rinks housekeeping standards for all areas of the Rink, including;
