Having grown from a staff of 12 employees in 2001 to the current employment of 150+, ESC is a fast-growing and highly successful manufacturing company.\nSummary\nThe Manufacturing Engineer applies industry best practices to optimize production processes, develop clear work instructions, and ensure repeatability, efficiency, and high product quality. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining procedures that meet diverse customer and regulatory requirements while providing leadership and support to the manufacturing operations.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nCreate and maintain manufacturing and quality processes for critical applications in demanding environments, including Manufacturing Process Instructions and Quality System Instructions\nImplement and monitor equipment performance, including reviewing and validating IQ reports for new equipment to determine the most suitable options for specific production\nLead and analyze data & initiatives to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, including the adoption of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other best practices. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence\nWork closely with product development and other cross functional teams to facilitate the smooth transition of new products from design to manufacturing\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance, source fixtures, tooling, and equipment required for manufacturing operations\nProvide input on design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) activities to develop production processes to meet project timelines and objectives\nDevelop and maintain simple, easy, and visual standardized work instructions, operating procedures, and training materials for manufacturing personnel in compliance with company best practices, and ISO 13485 / AS9100 standards\nConduct training sessions to ensure that employees are proficient in executing their roles effectively – Keep training certificates up to date.\nPrepare accurate, well-organized reports on all required forms and records\nEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards applicable to manufacturing operations\nImplement measures to mitigate risk and promote a safe working environment for all employees\nRequirements:\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering role, preferably with an EMS provider\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred\nProficiency in using Gerber view software, statistical analysis tools, and manufacturing process software (Aegis)\nProven leadership acumen with ability to lead with integrity, clear communication, best collaborative practices, and results driven mindset\nExhibit dependable, high-quality work while operating with minimal supervision\nCommitment to a high level of attention to detail\nPossess strong computer skills across daily tasks and documentation\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and applicable space addendums\nSustain proficiency in all aspects of electronics assembly techniques, equipment, and processes\nAbility to apply Lean principles and execute 5S methodologies to support operational excellence\nStrong computer skills with MS Office Suite,\nMust be a US citizen or legal permanent resident\nPreferred Skills / Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred\nIntermediate knowledge of the following software: Aegis, Factory Logix, Viewmate Pro, Epicor\nIPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and space addendum certification\nLean Six Sigma certification\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n401(k)\n401(k) matching\nDental insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nFlexible spending account\nHealth insurance\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nProfessional development assistance\nVision insurance\nApplication Question(s):\nDoes the compensation for this role align with your salary expectations?\n$90K-$105K/yr\nThis is an M-F onsite role located in Van Nuys, CA.
