We owe our success to our amazing product, commitment to our people and the connections we make in every community.\n\nIf you are resourceful, collaborative, team-oriented and passionate about delivering consistent excellence, Optimum is the Company for you!\n\nWe are Optimum!\nJob Summary\nThe Endpoint Management Engineer provides design, implementation, and third level support for enterprise systems management tools including Microsoft Intune, Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), and other management tools for end user devices including user workstations (both Windows and macOS) and mobile devices (iOS/iPadOS/Android).\nThe Endpoint Management Engineer delivers services that facilitate the initial setup process of end user devices, system policy and control, app packaging and distribution, security updates, and remote support for various devices such as laptops, desktops, virtual desktops, mobile devices, printers, and IoT devices.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, implementation, and third level support of Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).\nArchitecture, oversight, and troubleshooting of policies, deployments and patching for Windows endpoints.\nTroubleshooting and resolution of end user device issues, including root cause analysis and escalation to vendors as required.\nIntegration with various systems management solutions including Active Directory, SAML SSO, security (EDR/EPM), monitoring/end user experience/DEX, connectivity (VPN/Zero Trust), and asset management.\nPackaging and deploying applications through systems management tools.\nSecurity patch management.\nEscalate problems to management and/or vendors in a timely fashion.\nDevelop techniques and implement the resolution of problems based on root cause analysis.\nFollow established Change Control procedures to document all production changes and to limit unexpected interruptions to the production environment.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum 5 years experience in Information Technology.\nAbility to communicate in a written and verbal fashion, clearly and concisely, to peers, management, and business stakeholders.\nAbility to research, analyze, define, propose, design, document, and implement solutions to achieve business objectives.\nSelf-Starter: Ability to work without supervision on large and/or extended term projects.\nTechnical problem solver, able to identify multiple parallel options for solving a given business problem.\nMust be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while autonomously remaining accountable for individual deliverables.\nExcellent troubleshooting skills are a must in this position.\nKnowledge and understanding of common project management concepts.\nUnderstanding of traditional SDLC, Waterfall and Agile project delivery concepts.\nKnowledge and understanding of general ITIL concepts.\nPrimary Technical Skills\nExpert knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems\nExpert knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Management suite including Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager\nExpert knowledge with Microsoft Windows management tools Group Policy, BitLocker, AppLocker\nExpert level experience integrating endpoint management tools such as EDR (e.g. CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint), asset management (e.g. Device42, Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow), connectivity (e.g. Cisco VPN, PaloAlto Global Protect, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA), privilege management (e.g. CyberArk EPM, Delinea Privilege Management, BeyondTrust EPM), and digital experience (e.g. Nexthink, Zscaler ZDX)\nExpert level experience in developing, troubleshooting and maintaining Windows PowerShell scripts\nSecondary Technical Skills\nAdvanced knowledge of Windows policy/security management platforms (e.g. Entra ID, Active Directory)\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint management\nExperience with VDI\nExperience with macOS management tools (e.g. Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Kandji) and MDM solutions (e.g. MobileIron, Workspace One) is a plus\nAt Optimum, we're fueled by our four core pillars: Taking Ownership, Upholding Transparency, Creating Community, and Demonstrating Expertise.
