You will be responsible for the commercial, technical, and contractual performance of multi-year transportation programs, including conventional signaling, CBTC, PTC, communications, SCADA, and multi-system integration.\n\nYou will operate within a matrix organization, leading cross-functional teams and coordinating internal and external stakeholders (customers, primes, subcontractors, and suppliers) to deliver fully integrated rail systems in compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.\n\nWhat do we want to know about you?\n\nYou must have:\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or related field\n5-7 years’ experience in Project/ Program Management\n5+ years managing multi-year, complex regulated projects/programs\n\nWe would love it if you had:\n\nRail signaling systems\nProgram management within a matrixed organization\nProgram planning/management systems/tools\nCapacity planning, scheduling, budget, and execution\nContract Management\nCost control and forecasting\nWorking with transit agencies / public sector clients\nMulti-partner or consortium environments\n\nWhat will your typical day look like?\n\nYour key responsibilities will be:\n\nProgram Delivery & Execution\n\nLead full program lifecycle: bid support → execution → testing & commissioning → closeout\nDeliver programs:\nOn schedule\nWithin budget\nIn line with revenue, margin, and cash flow targets\nEnsure compliance with:\nContract requirements\nCustomer specifications (e.g., transit agencies, FRA/FTA processes)\nWabtec quality, safety, and governance standards\n\nSystems Integration Leadership (Critical)\n\nLead delivery of integrated signaling and multi-system architectures, including:\nCBTC / ATC / PTC\nWayside and onboard systems\nCommunications (radio, fiber, network)\nSCADA / OCC / dispatch systems\nTraction power and OCS interfaces\nEnsure:\nInterface definition and control (ICDs)\nCross-system integration planning and execution\nCoordination across engineering disciplines and external partners\n\nCommercial & Contract Management\n\nOwn full contract performance, including:\nScope management\nChange Orders (identification, pricing, negotiation)\nCost, revenue, and margin performance\nLead or oversee:\nChange Order proposals (scope, cost, schedule, risk)\nCustomer negotiations and claims positioning\nActively manage:\nEarned value / cost vs budget\nForecasting (sales & cash)\nRisk-adjusted financial performance\n\nRisk & Opportunity Management\n\nProactively identify and manage:\nTechnical risks (integration, performance, safety)\nCommercial risks (margin erosion, cost overruns, claims)\nSchedule risks (critical path, dependencies)\nDevelop and execute mitigation and recovery plans\nEscalate issues with clear recommendations and action plans\n\nStakeholder & Customer Leadership\n\nServe as the primary program interface to:\nCustomers (transit agencies, authorities)\nConsortium/primes (e.g., rolling stock OEMs, EPCs)\nKey subcontractors and suppliers\nBuild and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships\nLead executive-level program reviews and communications\n\nGovernance, Reporting & Reviews\n\nLead internal and external reviews:\nMonthly/quarterly program reviews\nRisk reviews\nCustomer progress meetings\nDeliver high-quality executive reporting, including:\nSchedule status\nCost and margin performance\nRisk/opportunity status\nKey decisions and escalations\nEnsure traceability and auditability of program data and decisions\n\nTeam Leadership (Matrix Organization)\n\nLead cross-functional teams across:\nEngineering\nProject Controls\nProcurement\nFinance\nField operations and commissioning\nAlign internal and external resources to achieve program objectives\nSupport development of program management best practices and talent\n\nContinuous Improvement\n\nDrive improvements in:\nExecution processes\nForecast accuracy (cost, sales, cash)\nRisk identification and mitigation\nCapture lessons learned and applied across programs\n\nRelocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met.\n\n#LI-AM1\n\nAdditional Information\n\nOur job titles may span more than one career level.
