Sound like you?\nIf you are ready to make a difference and be part of one of the world’s most admired and sustainability-focused companies, CBRE is the right place for you.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nAs a CBRE Thermal Energy Center Reliabiity Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.\nThis job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.\n\nMust live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift.\nWilling to work on-call (every two weeks)\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nStrong understanding of Honeywell Niagara BMS, chiller plant operation, power utilities and emergency power systems, organizational skills, leadership skills, critical infrastructure minded\nPerform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.\nKeep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.\nComply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.\nMaintain an energy management program.\nEnsure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.\nAssist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.\nFollow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.\nMaintain a clean and safe workplace.\nReview inspection to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.\nApply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.\nCoach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.\nLead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.\nWork to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.\nImpact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.\nWork within broad guidelines and policies.\nExplain difficult or sensitive information.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nNo formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nPerform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair:\n\nCommercial HVAC/R\nMechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (M.E.P.)\nGeneral Facility\n\nWHAT YOU'LL NEED\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nEducation and Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\nMinimum of five (5) years of building engineering or job-related experience.\nBuilding Engineering experience that focuses on HVAC/R, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing\nBuilding Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a plus.\nEPA certification required\n\nCERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES\nAdditional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
