The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and motivated to develop deeper technical responsibility over time through mentorship and hands on project experience.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.\n0 to 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, building systems, or related technical roles.\nFE, EIT, or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain licensure.\nFoundational understanding of electrical building systems and codes.\nStrong interest in building technology, systems integration, and modern electrical infrastructure.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nElectrical Engineering Support\nSupport the analysis, design, and documentation of electrical systems for complex building projects.\nAssist with power distribution, lighting, and essential electrical systems under the guidance of senior engineers.\nApply sound engineering fundamentals to support system performance, reliability, and constructability.\nParticipate in construction administration activities and coordination with contractors and design partners.\n\nBuilding Technology and Systems Integration\nSupport building technology scopes such as controls coordination, low voltage systems, and technology enabled building infrastructure.\nCollaborate with project teams to help integrate electrical systems with building automation, controls, and data driven systems.\nAssist in evaluating how emerging technologies and tools can support building performance and operations.\n\nElectrification and Forward Looking Systems\nSupport electrification related efforts such as load analysis, infrastructure readiness, and future proofing electrical systems.\nAssist senior engineers with early stage studies and option analysis related to energy systems and building performance.\nContribute to decarbonization efforts as part of a broader, multidisciplinary team.\n\nCollaboration and Professional Development\nWork closely with mechanical engineers, building scientists, architects, and other disciplines in a collaborative team environment.\nDevelop clear technical documentation and contribute to client deliverables.\nLearn from senior engineers and actively pursue growth in both electrical engineering and building technology.\nStay current with evolving codes, tools, and best practices related to electrical systems and building technology.\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience or strong interest in building technology, controls, or systems integration.\nExposure to healthcare or other technically demanding building environments is a plus.\nFamiliarity with NEC and electrical building codes.\nComfort working across disciplines and learning in a fast moving, collaborative environment.\nStrong communication skills and a proactive, growth oriented mindset.\n\nBranchPattern is a great place to work!\nBranchPattern is an award-winning firm built by engineers and building scientists who genuinely care about improving people’s lives.
