He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college.\n\nUnder general supervision, this individual will develop, prepare, and teach computer science courses designed for transfer and support of career technical programs focusing on computer programming and database management. Faculty will also be responsible for advising students and collaborating with 4-year educational partners when appropriate to ensure transferability of courses. The faculty member will collaborate with industry partners to ensure relevancy of the curriculum.\n\nDuties/Functions\nContacts\n\nEducation Required\nMaster’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hour credits in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an institutionally accredited college or university.\n\nEducation Preferred\nDoctoral degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hour credits in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an institutionally accredited college or university.\n\nExperience Required\nThree years relevant IT industry experience in object-oriented computer programming and/or database management.\nTeaching and/or industry training experience in computer science and/or database management topics in any of the following formats: teaching courses, training sessions, conducting professional development workshops, and/or other continuing education seminars.\nExperience with Python, Java, or C# programming languages.\n\nExperience Preferred\nCurrent industry-recognized certification(s) within the field of computer programming or database management ( OCP , OCA , Java, MCSD , etc.)\nPost-secondary teaching experience in computer science and/or database management\nExperience with assessment of student learning outcomes\nExperience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems\n\nKSA Required\nThe Instructor shall possess an understanding of and commitment to the nature and role of the Community College, particularly its \"open door\" policy. He/she shall have demonstrated personal and professional competence for the responsibilities assigned. The Instructor must be able to:\n\n1. Multi-task\n\n2.
