This role ensures seamless setup and support for projects and clients/customers, including building VPN tunnels and establishing distribution points for device imaging. The specialist will collaborate with project teams to deliver technical solutions, support lab operations, and maintain high standards of system reliability and security.\nKEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nProvision, configure, and maintain systems for both Internal IT and Configuration Centers.\nSet up projects and onboard clients/customers, including technical environment preparation.\nBuild and manage VPN tunnels for secure client connectivity.\nEstablish and maintain distribution points for device imaging and deployment.\nSupport and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, Entra, Intune, servers, and related applications.\nTroubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues across IT and lab environments.\nDocument environments and update knowledge management systems.\nPerform capacity and performance planning for production and lab environments.\nProvide escalation support for end users and service desk functions.\nDesign, implement, and maintain automation systems for business and lab workflows.\nLead and assist in business reporting configuration and maintenance efforts.\nCollaborate with operations staff to execute, test, and roll out solutions.\nMentor Service Support Technicians and contribute to skills development.\nKEY OUTCOMES OF THE POSITION\nHigh levels of user, client and customer satisfaction.\nReliable and secure project/client onboarding and environment setup.\nEffective monitoring and notification of systems.\nOngoing maintenance and advancement of IT and lab workflows.\nHigh-quality design and diagnostic support for projects and requests.\nExpanding responsibility and mentorship within the support team.\nSKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED\n\nAttention to detail and professional demeanor.\nAbility to manage confidential and proprietary company information.\nStrong customer service orientation.\nExperience in team-oriented, collaborative environments.\nStrong issue identification and management skills.\nCommitment to continuous skills improvement.\nExcellent interpersonal (soft) skills.\nEffective communication at all levels, with a focus on end users and clients.\nProficiency in software, troubleshooting, and hardware repair.\nAbility to travel locally as needed.\nEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS\n\nAssociate technology degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years in a support environment).\nTechnical certifications preferred and/or working toward (Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.).\nMicrosoft A+ minimum, MCP preferred.\nExperience with VPN setup, device imaging, and lab environment support is highly desirable.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\n\nSitting for extended periods.\nDexterity to operate a keyboard and mouse.\nNormal office and lab working conditions.\nLifting and transporting moderately heavy objects (servers, endpoints, peripherals).\nCan lift 50 lbs.\nThis job description does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed.
