{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e9e72f7fbb387ff664a5a485","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e9e72f7fbb387ff664a5a485","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e9e72f7fbb387ff664a5a485","title":"Security Associate","description":"Overview:\n\nPrime's Security Associate guards industrial or commercial property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPeriodically patrols buildings and grounds of the work site.\nExamines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.\nWarns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.\nInspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.\nWatches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.\nObserves departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.\nSound alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.\nPermits authorized persons to enter property.\nRecords data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.\nRegulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at company entrance to maintain orderly flow.\nMonitors high-value loads via computer system to ensure drivers are following high-value regulations.\nCommunicate with the Operations department and other security associates regarding any high-value load issues or violations.\nPerforms related work as required.\nQualifications:\n\nQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:\n\nAny combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.\n\nKnowledge\n\nMust be knowledgeable in basic corporate security procedures and emergency management techniques.\n\nAbilities\n\nMust be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work quickly and independently. Must be willing to work overtime and be flexible on hours including the ability to work nights and weekends. Good computer skills including the ability to type at least 40 WPM and the ability to obtain CDL required.\n\nExperience, Education, and Training\n\nFour year degree or equivalent experience preferred. Law enforcement or military experience preferred.
