Your team will be the ‘go to’ engineering resource for your region when technical advice is needed, and will use your subject matter expertise and engage with diverse teams to expand and support our large and growing portfolio.\n\nKey job responsibilities\n\nHire, coach, and develop employees that demonstrate Amazon Leadership Principles.\nManage team and individual performance, including promotions.\nCreate and improve metrics, driving efficiencies in repeatable work.\nApply high judgement to make trade-offs on competing business needs.\nEstablish strategic direction of the Cluster and Regional APJC team, and influence roadmaps of technical or business partner teams.\nIdentify resource requirements and gaps, establishing a regional team roadmap to success.\nWork directly with partner teams to implement new and improve existing processes and procedures, within their region and propagate globally where necessary.\nDrive strategic communication, provides a technical strategy with limited guidance within their assigned Region.\nIdentify risks and complexity to unblock engineers and partner teams.\nDrive team timeliness, quality, operational stability and success meeting customer requirements/business objectives. Can identify where to simplify, optimize, and reduce overhead.\nEstablish and/or streamline metrics, development, engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices. Share best practices with peers.\nBuild trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design)\n\nA day in the life\nYou will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of data centers.
